Word is that Supermodel Tyra Banks, is expanding her ‘Top Model’ Empire to include Africa.
Already successful in 3 other continents, Africa’s Next Top Model will involve the same format where the ladies will compete in challenges and photo shoots over the course of 10 episodes.
The show will consist of 12 contestants from 8 countries across Africa and production is scheduled to begin mid-August in South Africa.
Oluchi Orlandi who will serve as the series host and co-producer released a statement saying that ‘The African version of the franchise is long overdue and I expect the show to be a smashing success across the continent..’.
Tyra also expressed her excitement in a tweet:
