U.S. Debut of Circus Der Sinne’s Mother Africa (Dec 6, 2013 to Jan 5, 2014) #EventsInNYC #Tanzania

africa_fireTanzanian circus troupe, Circus de Sinne (Circus of Joy) will be bringing its showstopping performance across the shores for its first U.S. debut in December.

‘Mother Africa’ is a 90 minute show consisting of a diverse cast of performers from all over the African continent. It will showcase more than two dozen acrobats including the thrilling Icarian Games from Ethiopia, chair stacks from Tanzania and a contortionist from Kenya. There will be exuberant music ranging from Afro-beats to Congolese music and many more. This is certainly a show that’s fitting for all ages.

‘Mother Africa’ will be showing at New York’s New Victory Theater for 4 weeks from December 6, 2013 to January 5, 2014 with 30 performances scheduled. See scheduled times below.

05_10_Mother_Africa_520x323520_323Since in debut in 2006, Mother Africa has earned rave reviews from all over the world. Circus Der Sine performers have all been trained at director Winston Ruddle’s African Acrobat Academy; an academy located in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania that operates on an open-door policy. The academy has trained over 150 young performers some of which have escaped poverty for a new career opportunity.
