The True Ananse: Africa’s First Superhero by Leti Arts (Trailer)

g1q6hq-anasepoz1_0bf0kr0bf0kr000000Last week, Leti Arts released the pilot issue of Ananse: The Origin for their superhero series, The True Ananse.

The True Ananse, is a digital comic and mobile game series based on Ghanaian folklore character, Kweku Ananse and is part of Leti Arts’ ‘Africa’s Legends’, a series that depicts popular African folklore characters as modern day crime fighters.

Leti Arts retells the Ananse story, with the main focal character Ananse as a modern day superhero.

 

“ The goal of merging the past with the present in a format that is exciting and compelling is to encourage younger generations to be genuinely excited to learn and read about African history and culture. We believe making history and culture in education relevant through interactive content is a better long-term bet for preserving our heritage.

We aim to make the Leti Center the must have mobile app to access the best African themed comics and games worldwide. We are excited to have launched this in Ghana and are even more excited by the prospects which lie ahead including TV shows, movies and merchandise. ”

The Leti Center is currently available for three platforms, Android, Windows Phone and Java. Leti Arts have promised to make the Leti Center available for  Windows Phones, Nokia Ovi, and Apple iOS.
