21 is a short film produced by San Fancisco-based Ivorian filmmaker Marina Niava and co-produced by Agence dLight. The film tells the story of a young girl (Fyfee Kallo Kebe) who falls in love with her rich mother’s boyfriend, only to find out that she was deceived by them both. 21 is in French with English Subtitles.
Synopsis: After her father’s death, Aleka (Fyfee Kallo Kebe) moved from Brussels to Abidjan to live with Celine, her mother (Aicha Keita). The girl struggles to get any attention from her rich and busy mother but what bothers her most is Celine’s relationship with a younger man named Livine (Stéphane Coulibaly). For her 21st birthday, Aleka decides to offer herself a special present: getting rid of Livine. Her plan is compromised when she falls for the young man.
