Roger Ballen Showcases his photography at the National Museum of African Art (Smithsonian)

Roger Ballen will showcase his photography at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art from June 19, 2013 to February 9, 2014.
The exhibition entitled ‘Lines, Marks and Drawings: Through the Lens of Roger Ballen’ will showcase the photographers work taken over a span of over 40 years.
Roger Ballen’s is famous for his fascination with lines in his work “which ranges from twisted coat hangers and electrical cords to wall stains”.
Ballen, a New Yorker, immigrated to South Africa for over 30 years and recently collaborated with the South African Rap group Die Antwood “I Fink U Freeky”.
