3rd Annual African Diaspora Awards being held on November 30th, 2013 (New York)

167427_496394060383592_1572755882_nOn November 30, 2013, Applause Africa will be hosting their third annual African Diaspora Awards (ADA) at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts – New York University.

The ADAs were set up as a special initiative that ‘aims to identify and celebrate exemplary individuals who have made a significant difference in the African community in the United States’.

Applause Africa is a lifestyle magazine published quarterly which celebrates progressive Africans in the Diaspora.

The keynote speaker for the ADA’s will be the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate – Leymah Roberta Gbowee. Ojinika Obiekwe of WPIX TV/PIX 11 News and Actor Mohamed Dione III will play host to the event.
