One of Africa’s leading recruitment and career sites Affutjob.com, will be hosting its first ever virtual job fair. ‘Africa Jobs are Calling’, scheduled to take place in January 2014 is an event that will allow people to find recruitment without leaving the comfort of their own home. The fair will allow candidates to interact with organizations through video chat and allow them to access the fair anytime within the two days.
Affutjob has already hosted 2 editions of the successful event in the past but this is the first time that they will take the event to a virtual platform.
Teddy Ngou Milama, CEO of Affutjob, says, “It is important that we strive to improve the connection between recruiters and job seekers in order to streamline the labor market in Africa. The virtual career fair will help recruiters to reduce their hiring cost associated with travel, food or lodging. Furthermore, job seekers will have the opportunity to go through the recruitment process by being connected only to their computers.”
Participants from varying skillsets and educational backgrounds will be exposed to jobs and positions that they might not usually have access to.
