Call for Contributors for a new exhibition dispelling negative African stereotypes

citiesOrganizers of a new exhibition titled ‘Sichtwechsel’ are looking for contribution from locals of five major cities; Lagos, Addis Ababa, Gaborone, Kigali and Kinshasa.  All of these cities are modern, urban and rapidly developing and ‘Sichtwechsel’ will highlight this.

Exhibition organizers aim to dispel negative stereotypes regarding the African continent and are looking for contribution in the form of photos, essays, videos, blog posts and poems.

The organizer are a group of young Mannheim and Heidelberg residence who met through a volunteering program weltwärtsorganized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Weltwärts organizes one-year programs that allow young people to live and work for a year in a ‘so-called’ developing country.
