Crossroads – The documentary by Albert Gonzalez Farran #Egypt

dsc_8971According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the percentage of immigrants to Egypt grew by 0.4% in the past 2 years. The growth has brought about challenges in unemployment, globalization and climate change.

Crossroads‘ is a multimedia project and documentary film produced by Albert Gonzalez Farran in conjunction with the IOM to bring awareness to the experiences of migrants moving to, from and through Egypt. The documentary reveals a broad spectrum of diverse migration realities.

Migrants moving in North Africa are often vulnerable and experience considerable abuse and exploitation including increasing numbers of migrants being trafficked.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an international organization that focuses on areas of migration including ‘the promotion of international migration law, policy debate and guidance, protection of migrants’ rights, migration health and the gender dimension of migration’.
