senegal-eyeWhen French filmmakers Lea Amiel and Nicolas Libersalle visited Senegal last September, they created a short video documenting the popularity of football in Senegal and how its become a way of life, for many youngsters in Dakar. Kids play daily with the hope of becoming ‘the next Messi or Drogba…’

Synopsis:

In Africa, day after day, children play football endlessly everywhere, hoping to become the next Messi or Drogba…
Last september, we were sent to Senegal in order to imagine a 2mn video that would show the passion of these kids for football and how it brings them so many things in so many levels, mostly joy in their everyday life.
During three days we worked with young talented elite players to create we hope a poetic vision about youth, football and Africa.
