Dak’art is a groundbreaking biennial arts festival that takes placein the Senegalese capital of Dakar. When it was founded in 1989, it was marketed as a literary event but it has since evolved to include contemporary African arts. It is one of the first pan-African art festivals sponsored primarily by an African nation.
