Ma’mitons Crowdfunding Campaign Aims to Create More Jobs in Africa
Ma’mitons have recently launched a new crowdfunding project on Indiegogo asking donators to help provide sustainable work for artisans in Cameroon.
Ma’mitons is a brand that connects people to nature with fashionable, handmade and environmentally-friendly products. But most importantly, all Ma’mitons products are made by fairly paid artisans from Cameroon.
Launched in 2012 by Priscilla Njankou, M’amition has stayed committed to producing natural sourced fashion-forward accessories. The company gives back by ‘donating a percentage of our sales to SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest charity dedicated to building families and communities for orphaned, abandoned and foster children’.
Ma’mitons are hoping to raise $50,000 by September 4th, 2014 to:
1. Continue to provide unique, beautiful, fashionable, handmade products;
2. Help protect the environment;
3. Create more jobs in Africa to help the artisans improve their economic status.
Perks include a Ma’mitons logoed T-shirt, a handmade raffia handbag, sandals from Ma’mitons new line and many more. To learn more, visit the campaign page.
