“Music for Mandela” is filmmaker Jason Bourque’s celebratory new documentary illustrating how music became a pivotal force against apartheid. It explores the role music played in the extraordinary life of one of the world’s most important icon; Nelson Mandela.

From his imprisonment to his life now, the films details the music ‘born out of his inspirational journey’. It features commentary from close friends, international artists and ‘community volunteers, who use music today to motivate and educate’. Cast includes the Soweto Gospel Choir, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, BB King, Jamaican reggae star Sean Paul, British songstress Estelle, Jonas Gwangwa and Eddie Daniels.
