naomi-wachira-cd-artNaomi Wachira is the much anticipated album from Seattle-based artist Naomi Wachira.

If you’ve heard Wachira’s previous work, then you will not be disappointed. Her music is inspired by the things that are close to her heart – She sings about issues she faces as an African women living in the diaspora.

The album shows how versatile and diverse Wachira’s musical ability is. She effortlessly fuses African and western influence while still keeping a cohesive collection of tracks. Anywhere is a sweet track that has a warming quality that takes you back to a place of calm. The beautiful Africa jazzy melody is reminiscent to the style of Miriam Makeba and Yvonne Chaka. Sacred Heart is more bluesy and folk – with a more western vibe.
