South African Arts Festival set for October 4-6 in Los Angeles #SAArtsFest #VolunteersWanted

Downtown Los Angeles will play backdrop to South Africa’s first and biggest arts festival. The weekend event will be hosted by The Republic of South Africa’s Department of Arts and Culture and will feature a rich mix of South African film and music. The 2013 festival will also host a series of professional film and music panel discussions/seminars and feature performances from Grammy-award winning jazz icon Hugh Masekela and afro soul singer Simphiwe Dana. There will also be a showing of Felix and the U.S. premiere of the 3D Animation movie Khumba.

All events at Grand Performances’ WaterCourt outdoor stage are free, no advanced reservations are required. LA Live Regal Cinema screenings are also free but advanced reservations are required.
