Mutungi states, “African children face problems hard for people from western countries to even conceive of, such as hunger, drought, genocide, extreme poverty and AIDS, and it’s about time they had a hero of their own to look to for inspiration.”
The comic series, set in the year 2045, will follow SuperAfrican as he fights against ‘corruption, greed and ecological injustice in across the African continent’.
All proceeds from the sale of the comics, will be donated to OneMama, an organization committed to empowering women, families, and communities to be successful through sustainable health and education.
NAACP award recipient Mutungi will be launching his LP of the same name ‘SuperAfrican’ on February 25 (same day as the comic series), and both comic and LP will be available to purchase on Amazon and SuperAfrican.com.
Fangirls and fanboys can also follow SuperAfrican’s adventures via his Facebook Page.See Also:
