Written and directed by Maimouna Doucoure, Maman(s) (translated as Mothers) is a short film that tells the story of 8 year old Aida and the series of events that occur shortly after her father returns to France from Senegal with his new bride Rama.

Life is disrupted for eight-year-old Aida when her father returns with a young Senegalese woman, Rama, whom he introduces as his second wife. Sensitive to her mother’s distress, Aida decides to get rid of the new visitor.
The film stars Sokhna Diallo, Maimouna Gueye, Eriq Ebouaney, Mareme N’Diaye and Azize Diabate.
