The Africa39 project was initiated in conjunction with Rainbow Book Club celebration Port Harcourt: UNESCO World book Capital of 2014. The anthology contains the works of 39 of the continents most prominent voices, all under the age of 40.

The book released today includes a preface from Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka.

Earlier this year in April, the list of authors were announced at the London book fair. Those that made the list and are included in the anthology are as follows:
