Shade by Zeinab Aidid
Emerging Canadian performance artists Zeinab Aidid and Shadiya Aidid perform ‘Shade’, a poem they penned detailing their experiences living in a “society that only values white ideals of beauty’. The poem also references the pressures they faces growing up as part of the Somali diaspora.

The performance for ‘Shade’ was produced in conjunction with the Toronto Arts Council.
