Its no surprise that these (one-of-a-kind) handmade shirts have already become increasingly popular amongst fashion savvy Londoners as they are made from unique Kanga print and are 100% cotton so as we’ll as being stylish, they are comfortable.
With Joan’s fashion designer background and Lindi’s conservationist ties in Kenya, they were able to use their knowledge to give back to the people of Kiteghe, a small poverty-stricken village in South Eastern Kenya. Behind the scenes, ASC trains the residents in pattern cutting and sewing; vital skills that they can use to increase future career prospects.
Sales made from the shirts are donated to the Malewa Trust ‘which promotes environmental education and sustainable land management.
