Call to Women Filmmakers of Color to compete for ADIFF Public Award!

adiff-The African Diaspora International Film Festival celebrates women filmmakers of color with the Public Award for the Best Film Directed by a Woman of Color.

Recent winners include:
Zeinabu Irene Davis for “Spirits of Rebellion: Black Cinema from UCLA
Sabrina Gordon for “BAAaaad Sonia Sanchez
And Peres Owino for “Bound: Africans versus African-Americans

Submit your film to the competition for the Public Award for the Best Film Directed by a Woman of Color and win recognition and $1,000 cash!

To qualify, films must be:

  1. Directed by a woman of color
  2. At least 55 minute long
  3. A New York Premiere

The submission deadline is August 31, 2017. There is no entry fee. Due to submission volume, screeners will not be returned. Filmmakers will be notified only if their film is selected.
